FAQs

What does a midwife do?

A certified nurse midwife (CNM) provides holistic, evidence-based care for women throughout every stage of a woman’s life. Midwives are best known for being experts in normal, healthy pregnancies and births, but our expertise extends far beyond that.

In our practice, midwifery care includes: comprehensive prenatal care (including labs and ultrasound referrals), labor and birth management (in your home with expert care, includes emergency medications and supplies), lactation counsultations, women’s wellness care (includes exams, PAP testing, lab work, hormone testing, supplement recommendations, wellness plans), fertility care (lab work, hormone analysis, natural recommendations, referrals as needed for imaging studies), adrenal/thyroid management.

Do you offer services in Perryton or the Texas Panhandle? Where do I go for my visits?

Yes! We serve Perryton, Borger, Pampa, Dumas, Canadian, Amarillo, Canyon, and the surrounding areas throughout the Texas Panhandle. AND…we travel to you. Your in-person visits and lab draws are done in the comfort of your home!

Do you accept insurance for midwifery care?

We work closely with a third-party midwifery biller, Cosmic Birth Billing, for insurance reimbursement. Some clients use HSA/FSA cards, and payment plans are available, as well as financial assistance for those with an economic barrier to midwifery care.

Can you help with hormone balancing or women’s health if I am not pregnant?

Absolutely! We offer hormone balancing, perimenopause and menopause support, natural and medical fertility guidance, and general women’s wellness care for women at every age.

Is home birth safe?

Yes, home birth is safe for healthy, low-risk pregnancies under the care of a trained midwife. Studies show comparable or better outcomes to hospital birth for properly screened clients.
